SOURCES — xist-smart-scaffold-academic (Track 2, academic)

Compiled 2026-10-10. Every raster image used in this page's academic graphics, with its source, license and attribution. PDB coordinates are public domain per wwPDB policy (https://www.wwpdb.org/about/pdb-data-use); ribbons were rendered by the Hypothesis Critic team from those coordinates. No fabricated imagery.

Rejected candidates (not used)

Candidate Why rejected
(none additional) The Xist page had a genuinely thin open-imagery field: the FISH micrograph (CC0) and the public-domain Barr body diagram were the only suitable open images found. The nucleosome ribbon (PDB 1AOI, public-domain coordinates) and a clearly-labeled adaptor-pathway schematic fill the molecular panel; no micrograph was fabricated.
