# Pasteurized Akkermansia and Metabolic Health

Pasteurized MucT reduced weight regain in a 2026 trial; broader clinical glycemic benefits and interchangeability with other products remain unestablished.

The original preregistered primary SC2 returns Γ, with Moderate appraisal confidence, because target/insulin-sensitivity effects do not establish the registered clinical glycemia/function benefit. The positive 2026 randomized weight-maintenance finding is separately scored Δ in supplemental SC5. No positive trial is discarded, and no generic class or all-metabolic-benefits negative conclusion is inferred.

Preparation, baseline disease and outcome boundaries are visible across originals, but a mapped broad clinical glycemic MucT effect is not established. SC5 is a first positive maintenance context, whose generalization is untested. The lead-in criterion precedes assessed regain and is not a post-regain responder rescue; its post-discovery addition remains explicit. Low-baseline exploratory strata are distinguishable at baseline but require prospective confirmation and interaction/multiplicity checks.
