  "title": "What this review means",
  "includeSubclaimIllustrations": false,
  "redteamReviewed": true,
  "accessNotice": "Source checking used bounded original primary abstract passages/status records and selected original partial-body passages. No complete-abstract or complete-paper audit, or independent scientific peer review, is claimed. Detailed access counts and limitations appear in the review.",
  "overview": "Defined berberine can improve short-term T2D glycemic control; modern GLP-1 equivalence, broad weight-loss claims and exact glutathione/NMN stack benefits require separate evidence.",
  "implications": "The preregistered primary-subclaim rule returns Δ from SC2: defined oral berberine has a positive controlled treatment effect on twelve-week T2D glycemic control. The claim is deliberately narrower than weight loss, GLP-1 equivalence, complication prevention or rejuvenation stacks. Sixty-three original reports include clinical efficacy, exposure and interaction studies, relevant model experiments and companion ingredients; they are not sixty-three isolated T2D efficacy trials. Weakest-link returns Α because the separate equivalence and exact-stack companions lack direct evidence; primary-subclaim and scope-matched return Δ. Repeated trials increase confidence but do not automatically become independently failing causal lines or identify a unique mediator.",
  "limitations": "63 primary reports with 4 selected partial-body examinations; density, heterogeneous controls and incomplete access set the confidence, not correctness. The grade applies to the exact registered claim; stronger findings for narrower subclaims remain separate. No complete-paper audit or blinded calibration is claimed. This educational review does not establish an individual treatment recommendation."
