# Laetrile / Amygdalin as Cancer Treatment

Laetrile has no demonstrated clinically meaningful benefit in the examined human cancer regimens; oral use can cause serious cyanide poisoning, while newer preclinical delivery studies remain experimental.

Overall Α follows the preregistered primary SC2 human-regimen clinical-benefit gate. Partial selectivity and experimental activity remain Γ in SC1; they cannot be transferred into the clinical-benefit score. Toxicity avoidance is separately contradicted at Α, and generic care-substitution survival associations remain Β. Route-dependent cyanide harm has its own Ζ model assessment. No finding of toxicity alone determines the benefit grade.

Antecedent boundaries are chemical product, oral/IV/topical route, dose, duration, coingested foods/vitaminC, tumour model and concurrent therapy. Modern engineered activation is not a post-hoc rescue of the historical regimen: it is a new platform requiring its own efficacy and safety evidence. Rare clinical responses and symptom-free exposures are retained without redefining responders as the whole scope.
