# Video research insert: Telomere Shortening Theory of Aging

Draft narration and storyboard; no rendered video is claimed. Intended insert: roughly 60–90 seconds, depending on delivery.

Telomeres protect chromosome ends, and severe telomere dysfunction can cause tissue failure. Restoring telomerase rescues particular deficient animal models. That result matters, but the model is a specific genetic condition. The ordinary human aging claim is broader. Human genetic evidence shows trade-offs: longer telomeres can associate with lower coronary risk and higher cancer risk, while several functional and lifespan measures remain inconclusive. A small human activator trial primarily measured telomere length, not added healthy years. The next decisive study must separate telomere repair from other TERT effects and measure durable function and safety. Our broad-claim rating is Gamma; the narrower model findings score higher.

## Visual sequence

1. Show the exact registered hypothesis and its overall HSEF level.
2. Animate the selected publication milestones from research-timeline.json; label clinical trials, observational studies and models distinctly.
3. Contrast the strongest source result with its scope or endpoint limitation.
4. End on the registered boundary experiment, with primary-source links on screen.

Use newly authored schematic graphics. Do not turn Consensus meters into causal confidence graphics. If depicting a study endpoint, show its actual hierarchy; do not animate an exploratory subgroup as a confirmed treatment effect.
